By downloading or using WattPrep ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or republish the app or its question bank.
Both unlock the full question bank, timed mock exams, the field calculators and the Index Speed Trainer. Prices are in US dollars and may vary by storefront; the price shown in the app at the moment of purchase applies.
Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
WattPrep is a study aid. It contains original practice material written for exam preparation; it does not contain real exam questions, and it is not a substitute for the National Electrical Code® itself, formal training, or the judgement of a licensed electrician.
We make no guarantee that you will pass any examination. Nothing in the app is professional, legal, or engineering advice. Always verify any code requirement against the current adopted edition of the NEC® and the rules of your Authority Having Jurisdiction before performing electrical work.
WattPrep is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), PSI Services, or the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). NEC® and National Electrical Code® are registered trademarks of the NFPA. All trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
The app, its design, its calculators and its question bank are our property and are protected by copyright. Your licence does not transfer ownership of anything.
The app collects no personal data. See our Privacy Policy.
Some explanatory text shown alongside answers is refined on your device by Apple's on-device language model and is labelled in the app where it appears. The answer itself and its NEC article reference are written and reviewed by people. Machine-generated wording can still be imprecise: it is study support, not a substitute for the Code. Always verify any requirement against the current adopted edition of the NEC® and your Authority Having Jurisdiction before relying on it.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including exam results, lost income, or damages arising from electrical work.
We may update the app and these Terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. We may suspend the licence if these Terms are breached.
WattPrep does not let you upload, post or share images, video, audio, documents or any other file, and it has no social, sharing or community features. All content in the app is supplied by us. Because the app hosts nothing from users, no third-party copyright material can be introduced through it.
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.
Agreement to arbitrate. You and we agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or to the app — whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation or any other legal theory — will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except as set out below. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and may be conducted by telephone, online or through written submissions. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Class-action waiver. You and we agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding. You and we waive any right to a jury trial.
Small-claims exception. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies to be heard there.
30-day right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@wattprep.app with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name and the Apple ID email used. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms, and it will not affect your use of the app.
Severability. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim — and only that claim — will be severed from arbitration and brought in court; the rest of this section remains in force.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
